Fiberglass body lift?

hi, i tried searching the forums but couldn't find answers. i have been told that it is not a good idea to do body lifts with any f'glass bodies. i know the commercially availble kits have that disclaimer, but i was hoping someone might have found some alternative lifts that are compatable. i only want to go up about 1-1.5 inches. i'm prepping the chassis and drivetrain on a CJ-7 this winter but thinking about the body install in the spring. thanks.

Here is what you are supposed to use to mount a fiberglass body. http://4wd.com/shop/productdetail.as...roductsku=5000

I used this on mine and cut it with a power miter box. A 24" piece was plenty to do my CJ-7. I lifted the body about an inch over stock. It is not recommended to go much over that.
Hope this helped.
