Eldorado MTZ 33 12.5 15 on order

Pulled the trigger on these today...I have the 10 ply version on my Sierra 3/4 ton diesel and they are meaty...pumped to see the wider 12.5 on my TJ

Right now I'm dealing with bald 31s on black wagon wheels from the PO

775 shipped for 4

Those look good. What sort of mileage are you seeing on them on your truck, and where / how much were they?

Catmechanic:

I don't drive my truck that often it has a recently rebuilt injection pump, new PMD, new glow plugs, 4" turbo back stainless exhaust and is 4x4 regular cab full bed...I would estimate it to be currently getting about 20mpg around town...have nothing to compare that to because the previous bald tires were not driven on by me...I am very happy with the mileage on the truck and considering the 10 ply capacity these babies get the truck wherever I need it to go as far as snow slush and mud that I have had it in...obviously all much lighter than an off road trip with the jeep but still impressed with the overall traction and ride.

Sorry, I should have been more clear, I was curious what sort of life you had seen out of them on the 3/4 ton. I have a powerstroke with 35" BFG TA/KO's. They wear great just not aggressive enough for what I want on the TJ.

O I see...I cannot testify to the wear rates yet as I have not put many miles on but everything I have read so far is that they wear slowly and last as long as most M/Ts.

Hi Nate, I am just following this thread that you started. Have you had the chance to mount the Eldorado MTZ tires yet? I have been trying to look up reviews from other sites and have not found a lot of information these tires other than from the Vulcan site. From what I have seen on their site, the reviews are pretty good. I was just wondering how the tires are working for you on your Jeep. Can you post pictures when you have them mounted? The price are pretty fair. Thanks!

Hey! I just received the tires today...getting them mounted after work! I'll let you know (and post pics) after that. I am VERY impressed with the tread after seeing them in person...very deep and the 12.5 width is nice and wide (some tires claim 12.5 and end up being a bit more narrow).

They are all packed in the jeep and I'll be headed to the shop at 5pm

Well they are mounted up and they are surprisingly smooth on the road...I can only compare to my 35 swampers and 33 BF mud terrains but I would put them as smooth as the Mud Terrains on road and yet much larger lugs! They ride very very smooth and I love the look...Just wish they made them in 35" : )

I would like to see them on a 10" wide wheel...while it may not improve performance, I have always been a sucker for the wider tire look.

Looks great! I guess I will see how my budget is when I am ready to purchase my new tires. At that price, it is hard to beat.
