Cragar 15x8 or 15x7

Just received my Cragar Soft 8s today they are 15x8 with 4" backspace.I put wheel on Jeep and i think they stick out too far past flare. My question would be can i run 31x10.50 tire on a Cragar 15x7 with 4" backspace on my stock 05TJ and not have any clearance issues.

With only 4" of backspacing, they will still stick out on a stock TJ. If you want them tucked under the fenders using 15x7s, you will need 5.25" BS like the factory Ecco or Grizzly 15x7s, which were options for use with 30x9.5. There are forum members who have posted using 31x10.5s with these 15x7 factory wheels on unlifted TJs without rubbing problems.

Return wheels

Going to return soft 8s,will just keep looking for wheels with more backspace to tuck them under the flares

Using this forum's "for sale", eBay, Craig's List, you can find a good set of used factory 15x7 Eccos or Grizzlys for what you would pay for most new aftermarket wheels. The factory 15x8 Ravine and Canyon with 5.5" BS will also work. You'll have a hard time finding 15x7 or 15x8 aftermarket wheels with enough backspacing.
