You think that Goodyear ruined the MT/R?

On the contrary, those using it on the type of terrain it was designed for are saying it has been greatly improved in several ways. #1 is that its kevlar reinforced sidewall is even more cut resistant than it was before. And that's saying something because it was the original MT/R's cut resistant sidewall that caused it to turn into the rock crawler's #1 choice over BFG until BFG responded back with their much more expensive Krawler. And #2, at least on the terrain & rocks that it was designed for, the new kevlar MT/R's tread design hooks up better than the old MT/Rs did too. #3, it is quieter on the street and #4, its improved tread pattern also works better in mud and snow than the previous MT/R did.

From users who actually use the new MT/R as it was intended, it is getting 100% rave reviews. When my present MT/Rs finish wearing out, and they're getting close, I'll definitely be going with the new kevlar MT/R.

i agree with this statement, i was gonna go with the new MTR except for the back order. im by no means regretting my KM2s, just that the MTR was my first choice

My destination mts are the best tires I have run- tried bfg at and mt, off brand at, bridgestone mt....the firestone mts have been great off road- sand, mud, trail and snow and have been super on the road dry or wet. I have not had to give up anything...and they are not loud either.

well that's good to hear . . . I love my "original" MT/R's . . . but I was skeptical of their new design, and so I thought I would try a set of the KM2's for my wife's truck
