Can't decide between the two…please help.

Ok, so I got my tax return and I'm in dire need of new tires. I have FINALLY narrowed it down to two specific tires, but I just can't seem to decide. I'm either getting Dick Cepek Fun Country 265/70r17 or Nitto Trail Grappler M/T's in a 255/75r17. I just can't seem to decide! I have a 4" rc-x and 255/75r17 BFG M/T's at the moment. They fit great, but interested in the Fun Country's in the 265. Any input would be immensely appreciated

Are you switching from BFGs because they didn't work in the mud?

When the snow flies, you'll like the Fun Country's much better. They're a capable all terrain that has exceptional snow manners. If mud is your thing then go with the Nittos.

The 265/70R17s will be slightly (.25") shorter than 255/75R17s. Not sure if that's something you'd notice or something that would sway your opinion one way or the other, but it's something to consider.

Otherwise the main difference would be do you want an A/T (Dick Cepek Fun Country) or a more aggressive M/T (Nitto Trail Grappler) tire?

Personally I'd go for the more aggressive M/T, and I am a huge fan / have owned multiple sets of Nitto tires across different vehicles, so the Trail Grappler would be my choice.

Do Cepeks have 3-ply sidewalls? I've heard the Nittos are HEAVY. I personally wouldn't run either of these...but if I had to pick I'd go Cepeks.
