Can 16 wheels replace '11 stock JK 17s?

I was looking at Collins Brothers Jeeps 2011 JK unlimiteds and many have 16 inch rims on them with 35's. I called them and they said 16s fit without any problems. I am considering doing the same. Has anyone else had experience with putting 16's on a 2011 JK that they can pass on or provide advice? The whole 17 issue bothers me.

Yes, 16 inch wheels fit, and the Sport base models come with 16" wheels from the factory.

Having said that, now days 17" wheels have more options for tires. LOTS more options. I'd stick with 17" if I were you.

Thank you. I appreciate the time you took to reply.
I want to go with the new wheels and tires. I am going to have to figure out when all is said and done the which is most cost effective. Knowing that I can run the 16's really helps. Thanks again.

I am shopping 16" and 17" tires for my wife's Suburban and the 17's seem to be cheaper and there are more choices.
