I currently have nitto 33 12.5 18 on xd rockstar rims. I like the performance but want to go back to the basic look. Like an 15" ultra matte black rim or pro comp 152 rock crawler. I like the deeper look to the rim from the outside of rim to the lug nuts. The xd rockstar is kinda flat. I also like the meatier or more rounded look of a tire and rim together. Pic will show you exactly the look trying to achieve. Here's the question...with a 15 in rim is it better to put a 33 12.5 15 tire on a 15x10 or a 15x8 rim? Again with the goal of providing a more rounded look to tire and rim vs. a sidewall that looks st. up and down. Or a I missing the mark all together in trying to achieve the look. I want this exact set up in pic. but not sure if rims are 15x10 or 15x8 and can't tell what tire this is at all. Very frustrated.

15x8

15x10

15x8 fits better overall and looks better in my opinion, but for that look of the Jeep in that pic you want 10" wide wheels.

X2. Those are definitely 10" wheels. 8" wide wheels are better suited to a 12.5" tire.

Why do you want to copy this rig? You can do better than excessively wide heavy steel wheels and street tires.

I like that combo but open to suggestions for sure

I also like the black wheel look. My rig had a set of pro comp black steel wheels that I removed in favor of aluminum MB wheels from discount tires. They are the same black look but lighter and easier to balance.

15x10 for the rounded look but if you plan on really wheeling it hard, I would go 15x8. If you wheel it easy, the 10s would be fine IMO.

If you really want the rounded look, Interco makes some 33s in a 14.5" wide variety. That would really give you that look with a 10" wheel.

Pic is of a 36x13.50-15 Irok on a 15x10 Pro Comp 52 wheel.

If a 10" wide wheel and 14.5" tire give the more rounded look, why wouldn't an 8" wheel and 12.5" tire..?

Because that 14.50" wide tire looks like a marsh mellow and you don't get that with a 12" wide tire on a 8" wide wheel.
