buggy lift

anyone ever done a buggy lift front or rear on a yj? if so what are the pro's and con's?


90 yj 7" lift,35x12.5 mtr's,warn9000xd,atlas 2 4.3:1 t-case,4.11,kick a$$ stereo system, soon to have a buggy system front ??rear?? and an SRS

Same thing as a 1/4 elliptical right? At least around here it means the same thing. Here's a very good article on 1/4 elliptical suspensions. http://www.jeepaholics.com/tech/quarterellip/

I dont think that they are exactly the same thing. It looks like in a 1/4 eliptical you don't have the regular leaf springs attached to the axle(like stock) they are hooked one eye to the axle and the other to the frame. on a buggy you have the leaves(like stock) mounted to the axle and then you would add a half of a main eye spring (so that you only have one eye) to the frame(using bolts) and then the shackle goes from the "buggy spring" to the axle leaf pack? don't know if that makes sense or not? Ok, that's called 3/4 elliptical. You might try M.O.R.E. I know they used to have a kit. I don't know if they still do. I think Revolvers are a better way of achieving the same thing. You might email the fellow on the article I gave you the url to. I know he used to run a 3/4 elliptical a long time ago.
