Blew out a tire

I was out having a grand ole time and hit a sagebrush and tore a nice big hole in my sidewall. Since it can't be repaired my question is: Is it allright to run two different brand tires front and rear? I was thinking about leaving my firestones in the back and putting two BFG At/s up front. Is this ok to do?

Probably be ok, though darn few do it.

Here's a "four tire" day, run.

Another SSR:

BFG MT.
BTW, that's me with the green hat, wondering when the hell this day will end, with all these flats. We had 2 BFG MT's rip sidewalls this day, along with the 2 SSR's:
