Bias Ply vs Radial Tires
I am going to change my tires for 32" x 11.5". I will be doing extreme off-road about 6 times a year the rest of the time on gravel and seven months of winter. My choice of tires are the TSL-SX bias or the TSL-SSR radial. Both are 6 ply. I'm told that the rubber compound of the SSR is harder, but that the radial would give a more comfortable ride. With this how would that SSR be off-road? and it's side walls would they be okay?
I'm ready to order now, but would like some extra input. I'll be using standard rim off-set 8" wide and just adjust the little nut so I don't get any rubbing. ![]()

Radials are better for the road. If these won't see pavement to often, then I say go with the bias ply. I am currently running bias ply tires and they are great on the trail, especially when aired down.
I can't say the same for the road though. They vibrate, they rumble, they kill my gas milage, and they get cold spots Once I get my new set of rims, I'll be using radials on road, and these bias for trail use only.
