Best size tire and rims????

Got a 3inch lift on a XJ and was wondering if I should stay with 15x8 wheel but idk what size tires to get or If I should get 16x8 wheels and what tires would be good for mud and pavement but not to expensive

Stay with 15 x 7 or 15 x 8 wheels. Which do you have now?

XJ stock wheels are 15 x 7.

It would help if a 10.5 wide tire.

31 x 10.5 R15 on 15 x 8 is a good combination.

30 x 9.5 R15 on 15 x 7 is good combination.

Also, 245/75R16 (31 x 9.6 R16) on 16 x 7 is a good combination.
