Best 31 by 10.5 tire for stock 4.0 wrangler?

I have a wrangler, totally stock and want to replace the tires. It had 31x10.5 inch bfg at's. I'm thinking of replacing them with trxxus mts? Thoughts, will another brands 31 not fit?

X2...They will all fit, but as far as brand, I think it's preference and what you are doing with it. I had BFG A/T's and liked them alot. They seemed to wear really well. I have the Wrangler MT/R's now...I just like the look of them better, plus I like their durability and stength (for off-roading). Get whatever ones you like the best.

I'm going to be getting a set of Mastercraft Courser AT's soon. I've run two sets of them on an Explorer and I've found them to be an great overall tire. Granted I'm not going to be slogging through two feet of mud or crawling over a huge rock pile but for dry, wet and snow they're great. They're made by Cooper Tire and they're competetively priced.

I reccomend Goodyear MT/R's(Have em now on my TJ, love the look, and they ride good and perform great in most all conditions ive used them in), BFG Mud Terrains (had them on my CJ7 and YJ, excellent quality, awesome in mud, wear good, excellent tire), or Dunlop Mud Rovers (had them on my YJ, cheap, wear great, good offroad, look good)

Be sure to take a look at the Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo. ' put a set of those on earlier this year and have had them on rocks, in sand, in mud, and on the pavement. (31's on a stock Wrangler.) They have performed extremely well. (Be sure it's the Revo, and not just the A/T).

I'd vote for BFG AT's. I had some on my last rig, and were great for everything

I have the MIckey Thompson Baja Claws and really like them. Gives it a nice tougher look and perform well offroad.

I have put about 10K miles on my Kumho Venture MTs and love them. They work just as well on and off road, as far as I can tell, as the MTRs and are a bit cheaper. I had mine mounted, balanced, and installed for $125 a tire.

Thanks guys

Its actually my father in law's jeep. I have GY mtr's on my cherokee and I love them. For the tj, he wants something a little more agressive than AT's. This will be driven in the Colorado mountains in the winter,so I was leaning towards the Trxxus becuase they are siipeed. Off to Big O. Thanks.

I went through two sets of BFG A/T's before installing the lift. TTey're a great all-around tire that performed ell in sand, mud, and the rocks and have exceptionally good wear. TrXus', from what I hear, don't wear very well and are hard to balance.

BFG AT is a great quiet, long-wearing, good for most offroading needs, all around tire.

went from a bfg AT to a kuhmo MT...next time around i'm sticking with kuhmo..cheaper..better traction in every condition except for just after it rains with the oil on the road. best improvement was in tracking through water. The bfg pulled the jeep quite powerfully where as the KUHMO's seem to track better (although they can channel a lot more water due to the tread pattern)

best bang for the buck is the kuhmo. it is a little louder and you'll have to rotate them more often (every/everyother oil change) 100bucks a tire can't go wrong

Two questions regarding Kumho MT vs BFG AT:
1) Did you notice much noise difference at highway speed with the MT's?
2) How do the sidewall's compare when airing down? Can the Kumho's better handle low pressure over rocks?
