backspacing

i have a 2005 lj rubicon unlimited which i am about to put a 4" lift on, and 33" tires
first, how much backspacing do i need to prevent rubbing
second, will 33" tires look bad with a 4" lift?

4.5 to 4 inches....I'd go with 4 inches of backspacing if you're talking 33x12.5's.

33's and 4 inches of lift will look fine.

You should be fine. I'd still like to leave a little margin for bigger tires, but the choice is yours.

I run 33s on a 4in lift. It's a pretty good look. My set up is 33x12.5 r15 duratracs on 15x10 pro comps with 3.75 backspacing. Before that I used stock wheels with a 1.25 spacer on same tires.
