Anyone Seen KMC Rockstar wheels on a TJ?! few questions

So I saw a JK with these KMC Rockstar wheels in black. It was epic, and I'm usually not a huge fan of JK's. I have a 99 TJ Sport, stock suspension with 30x9.5.15s on canyon rims. I was wondering if anyone has run these rockstars on a TJ. All of the ones I have found are a 17inch or up wheel. I'm not big into the low profile look, and I want it to ride well. I'm looking to get 31/10.5/15or16s most likely BFG all terrains or grabbers. Anyone found smaller size wheels or seen them on a TJ? Any Suggestions? I also like the look of the black as well as the chrome.

I don't think I could dislike wheels anymore than I dislike Rockstars. They are the official JK "I want to look like I wheel but I don't" wheel. Obviously there are exceptions, so for those of you that think they are the end all-be all wheel, don't come *****in at me.

haha well I just like how they looked, Living in boston, my jeep only sees dirt roads and sand when I make it to the beaches down on the cap a few times a year. Just wondering if anyones had them on a TJ, or if they make them in 5 on 4.5 and smaller than a 17inch wheel

I'm still trying to figure out how wheels are "epic".

Epic is a noun, and if use as an adjective it is to describe literature. Example: The Odyssey by Homer is an epic.

I bet you could find your answers with ease. Try the picture thread for pictures and try google for the backspacing.

Unlimited04, before you correct someones grammar make sure you are right. Epic is also an adjective.

Epic
adj.
  • Of, constituting, having to do with, or suggestive of a literary epic: an epic poem.
  • Surpassing the usual or ordinary, particularly in scope or size: "A vast musical panorama . . . it requires an epic musical understanding to do it justice" (Tim Page).
  • Heroic and impressive in quality: "Here in the courtroom . . . there was more of that epic atmosphere, the extra amperage of a special moment" (Scott Turow).

Thanks for being useful and helping me out with the question though.

Since you are going to be a jerk, I will as well.

Have you been on the internet besides JF at all in the past 10 years? Watch TV or gotten out of the house?

If not, take a look at this:

Epic Definition | Definition of Epic at Dictionary.com

–adjective Also, ep⋅i⋅cal.
1. noting or pertaining to a long poetic composition, usually centered upon a hero, in which a series of great achievements or events is narrated in elevated style: Homer's Iliad is an epic poem.
2. resembling or suggesting such poetry: an epic novel on the founding of the country.
3. heroic; majestic; impressively great: the epic events of the war.
4. of unusually great size or extent: a crime wave of epic proportions.

Just an example

Example:
This post is an epic failure because it lacks even a shred of techincal content.

Like that?

As far as the wheels themselves, I'd run them if it was an amazing deal and came in 15" or 16" minus the center caps. At that point, they'd just be black alloy rims. A black sharpie would hide scratches.

precisely. I just wanted to know if anyone had put these on a TJ, with normal sized, non-lowprofile tires. I put it in the wheels and tires section also but no one looks there.

Wow, you guys are being arses. He obviously is an excited young man that wants to know a little something. I cant answer your question. But I can tell you this, some people on these forums believe they are the know all end all to TJs and if you don't approach them with something that is easily digested to their machismo brains you will get flamed as you already have.

You won't find many TJ owners that like these wheels. But like I said before, you'll find pictures in the pic forum.

x2, specially if they are over 16 inches on less than 35 inch tires.

OP: If you want them, get them...it's your Jeep. But what ever you do....do NOT run those stupid center caps.

When I was in Pensacola I saw a silver TJ running those KMC Rockstars, they looked really good on it.

Get them, only if they come in a 15/16 inch rim size.
