Anyone running re-tread tires offroad?

I know retreads aren't an issue onroad, but is anyone running them offroad.

What are your experiences with them?

A buddy of mine ran a few sets of retreads that had a tread pattern like a bunch of "W"s.-they had an animal name like coyote or ground hawg, or something. He seemed to like them. Although-one or two got weird (delaminated..) and he had to replace them. I have also seen many a weekend wheeler up at Wellsville with the same ones.

I have Hi-tec retreads on mine. But I havn't had them offroad yet. I like the tires but Hi-tec retread customer service SUCKS! I will never buy tires online again.
