Gambler

Factory Availability: TJ, XJ, ?YJ? Not sure about the YJ. Anyone know?
Bolt Pattern: 5x4.5
Notes: Commonly called "bullet hole" wheels by Jeepers who do not know the official name. There are two varieties, ten holes and five holes. The five hole variety came on wranglers and the ten hole came on Cherokees.

TJ/Wrangler (Five Hole)-

YJ Renegades came with these as well.

Will this wheel fit my 97 Cherokee?

I don't see this pic listed on this wonderful thread. This wheel is from a 93 Wrangler 235-75-15. It looks like aluminum or alloy. Want to buy these off Craiglist and want to make sure they fit. Not sure how to post pic, so below is the link.

I am quite certain that those rims were used on the first generation (93-95) Grand Cherokee.

The wheels in question-

First Gen Grand Cherokee-

The bolt pattern should be 5"x4.5". They should fit YJ, TJ, XJ, ZJ, LJ, KJ, KK and Ford Rangers/Explorers with no problem. Hopefully that answers your question.

Of course. I am quite sure that these were a standard Jeep steel wheel painted to match the body.

Standard Jeep Steel Wheel-

Willy's Edition TJ-

Cherokee 97

Thanks for the quick response. I am looking for replacement for my rusted steel wheels and I am a bit confused. I find plenty of wheels that are 5x4.5 but I'm not sure if they fit the Cherokee. I am worried that the backspacing or offset will not match. Should I not worry about that? Just buy any wheel that is 15x7 with a 5 bolt 4.5 pattern????

Please help a newbie!

No problem. These should be a direct fit, but I don't want to put my foot in my mouth. I have never owned an XJ (I want one ), but I did own a ZJ. I would imagine that the backspacing should be OK unless you get wider tires. My factory Grand Cherokee wheels needed 1.5" spacers when I got wider tires. I didn't know it until they got cut up... Someone on here who has owned more Jeeps may know better than me, but I am pretty sure that those wheels will not cause any issues for you.

Has anyone ever seen a Gambler in gunmetal rather than polished? My 98 parts XJ came with a set of them and I never really thought about it until I get another set of gamblers and realized the new ones were polished.

Could the gunmetal ones be American Racing?

The Gambler 5 holes, definitely came on the YJ. I had them on my 91 Renegade. Might have just been a special edition thing though. This is a great thread. Thanks

I've never heard the name of these, but they came on 96-98 ZJ Limiteds. They were either gold or silver, depending on the body color. I've been looking for a silver one for over a year.

They are called Timberlines. They came in gold, silver & green. I have never seen a green set myself.

There was timberline wheel on the WJ's that looked similar to this except it didn't have the smaller Y webs. Were they both called Timberline?
