4" Rough Country Lift Kit??
I am new to this site so let me first say hello
.I have a 97 TJ w/ a 2.5 4cyl. and I have been looking for input on the 4" lift kit that rough country offers. This jeep is my mullet; buisness during the week, down and dirty on the weekends . Seriously though, I do drive about 100 highway miles a week so I would like to have something that handles no worse than stock. Can I get a few words from anyone that has experience with this kit? I plan to on 33's and 4.10 gears, but I want what will be best for my use.

I have the 4 inch series 2 rough country lift. Its not that bad of a lift for the money in my opinion but you are most likely gonna have to get a SYE and cv drive shaft. It comes with a TC drop and lower control arms which is also pretty good for the money. So far I love mine (have had it for a month and half) except for the shocks. My jeep rides great but EXTREMELY rough. I use my jeep as a DD and it does fine, the only thing is you may want to upgrade the shocks. I dont really mind the roughness b/c im a teenager and im poor lol, but overall its a decent lift.

I also have the 4" Rough Country Series II and I love it. Now it is not the best lift available it is a very nice lift for the price. The ride is alittle bit stiffer than stock, i went with the 8000 series shocks and they ride much better than 9000. I have not yet had an sagging whatso ever and I have had my lift on for 45,000 miles, and I wheel almost everyweekend. If you are going to be rough on the kit than you do want to look into the sye kit. Other than that its a great starters lift.
