3" body lift + 3" suspension? good or bad? need tire help also.

I own a 1994 Jeep Wrangler. It is in decent shape, has a good suspension system and american racing wheels. The tires are a mix of 3 bf goodrich A/T and 1 other A/T. They tires are 31". The jeep has a 3-4" body lift, but no suspension lift. I'm looking to upgrade to 33" tires. If I go offroading it is very light mud or sand. I drive more on streets than I do offroad. What are the best tires for me?

Also, as far as the lifts go..I would much rather have a 4" suspension lift than a 3" body lift, which I already have. I went offroading recently, and bottomed out almost instantly. Is there any way that I could do a 3" suspension lift on top of the body lift? Would that be too much? Or should I drop the body lift down to about 1" and then do the 3" suspension lift. If I do the suspension on top of the body lift, that would be almost 6-7 inches. Plus the 33" tires would raise it another 2". That sounds like a lot, but if it will work safely without flipping...I'd go for it.

Any help on this topic would be greatly appreciated.
-Sean

3" is a LOT of body lift. I wouldn't run more than 1" of body lift on a jeep I owned.

Drop it down to a 1" BL and mess with the suspension from there.

I agree drop it to a 1" BL (I'll plug daytstar) and do a 4" lift. hell you might be on the small side with the 33's at that point.

I know it's a CJ but the same rules aply for the CJ and YJ Here's mine with the 4.5" lift and 1" BL and TJ flares and 35's

If your going to be wheelin' in light mud and sand, I would suggest the BFG A/T.
