225/75 16, On a Stock 98 ZJ Limited???

I am new here and this is my first post. Looking for some help please.
I am wondering if anyone has used these tires on a 98 ZJ with stock suspension. Need new tires for winter and I dont have money for a lift yet. The tires I want I can only get in this size. They are 29.3" tall compared to the stock 225/70/r15's I have on there now, which are 28.4" tall. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

This would be answered pretty quickly in the ZJ forum, since it's more vehicle specific.

However, that size will fit fine on a stock ZJ. I think that's basically the same size, if not a little smaller, than a 30x9.50/15, and those fit a stock ZJ perfectly.

IIRC you can actually go to a 235 on a stock ZJ, and a 245/75/16 wshould fit with some minor trimming of the plastic bumpers.

And FYI, you can do a 2" coil spacer lift (referred to as a Budget Boost, or "BB" for short in Jeep-speak) for less than a hundred bucks, then 245/75/16's will fit PERFECTLY.

I ran this combo for a few years when I first got my ZJ and it was great.

Thank you very much for your help, I tried doing a couple searches in the forum but was unable to find anything. I will look into the BB for the time being until I can come up with the funds for a lift kit. Again, Thank you.
