18" rims

I have a 93 YJ stock and I am looking at new wheels. I have an opportunity to get some nice 18" rims with tires for a good price. What is the down side with going with such large rims? I mostly do road driving.

Assuming the profile of your tires shrinks to maintain the same overall diameter, you'll get better road handling, a rougher ride, and less sidewall flex (only a concern OFFroad). You MIGHT also save some weight and/or reduce your wheel+tire rotational inertia.

the rim will weigh more than thetire as compared to a 17or less. Unless they are very thin rims or made of carbonfiber or other high tech alloys. The cost of thetire will be alot more for a 18 compared to the 15"s that jeep had.
