What kind of help do you need? Do you not want to take the time to list it and disassemble it yourself? About all you could do is sell it to someone as a parts Jeep or take it to the scrap yard. I'll be driving through Northern Utah in a couple of weekends, how much do you want for it?

Take it completely apart. Post items to craigslist with detailed pics AND prices. You will sell most in short order, the frame and tub will likely be yard art for 6 months or so.

If your prices are too high, you will not sell much. Folks scan adds and if the first few items are overpriced, they move on.

Welcome.

If you are looking for local help, try over here in the Utah forum. http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f319/

If this is a thinly disguised classified ad it does not belong here and will be moved.

I think J the last sentence is more like what is going on.

But to the OP.. Craigslist... You will be overwhelmed with how many people will call you if you post on there.

I part jeeps all time and it never stays up more than a week before everypart is gone.

@Randonexplosion

I'm not sure - We have had a lot of different opinions on how much it is worth in parts - but not much feedback on what it would bring in as is. You are welcome to take a look at it if you're in the Davis County area of I-15.

If you would post just a few pictures inside, outside, under the hood, andfrom underneath we could probably give you an idea of your best route to take. Irecently went to a guy that deals in Jeeps and parts them out who had an YJwith frame rot. It wasn't so bad that it wasn't repairable but he said he canget twice as much from parting it out as fixing it and reselling it.

^^^ This.

I had a race car I totaled while I was trying to sell it. After parting it out I got almost twice what I was asking for it before the wreck.

A.) A vehicle is best stored in the shape of a vehicle.
B.) A vehicle is worth more in pieces than it is all together.

most stick to option A, as removing only a few parts can reduce it to a giant hunk of immobile metal in your driveway, and can be quite the headache to get rid of after that.

Example:
I once found a lady that wanted to part out her Dodge Durango. I wanted her steering box. I had to gently tell her over the phone "No, the steering wheel will not work after I take this part"... She some how thought that it would still be driveable as she parted it out. lesson: This is not a vehicle anymore. it is a Lego set that you need to sell block by block.

but if you're handy, have lots of time and space, you can try option B:
(I have yet to do this...maybe when I'm old and retired! )

Step 1.)
Take vehicle apart piece by piece, bagging & tagging all bolts & pieces.

Step 2.)
Take pictures of the part, after it is removed from the vehicle

Step 3.)
Open a new email account with provider of your choice, and use it for craigslist, only. This keeps the ad responses from overflowing your regular email, and if you get somebody crazy, spam, etc. you can abandon the email address. check this email frequently.

Step 4.) Post separate ads on craigslist for each part or assembly.

Note: Nobody wants to see your list of sold parts.

Let me say that again.

Nobody wants to see your list of sold parts.

That's the worst thing you can put in the ad.
ex: (don't do this!!)
Durango Steering Box......Sold!
HP D44 Front Axle...........Sold!
Peugeot Transmission.... $100
Misc Tail lights...............Sold!
etc....

When I see something like this all I think is oh man, I want xxxx part sold already! and tend to completely lose interest in the remaining parts.

That's all the parting-out advice I think I've got.

Goodluck parting or getting rid of your Jeep.
