Don't know if this has been said.
Rubicons come with onboard air.
Maybe even a winch? Or a winch as a mopar accessory.

The LCD display acting as a multifunctional gauge (like in the planes) would be awesome. I'd love to check all vehicle parameters. And since vehicle computers monitor things like tranny temp anyway, I'd see no problem with this.
In other words- needle speedometer, fuel gauge, tachometer and one universal display for other features like oil pressure, oil temp, tranny temp etc. with programmed buttons on it's edges (to easily change the displayed value).
Perfect

At a minimum, temp and oil pressure gauges should be standard. Battery should definitely be on the "rougher" vehicles. Tach I could take or leave, but like having.

HO, HO, HO!!!
OK - so some of us agree...

bring back a small jeep pickup, like the JTs oversea's military's are getting only a civilian version. Or convert the long wheel based wranglers to a small pickup by a small cab rollbar setup and matching removable single cab style hardtop (my cutting skills suck, but something like this)

If I was a betting man, gas prices are not dropping anytime soon, so if it had decent gas mileage, could be a huge success. Diesel means torque and mileage, even if the initial buy-in is more. A lot more people are calculating mileage lately. Design the engines to be fuel efficient first; sell upgrades for power.
Full size Jeep truck would probabley do well, but a compact truck would be the "newest" thing, just like it was in 1986.

I'll second that. A fully capable off road small diesel pickup. KILLER!

Thanks for the suggestions - some of us have onboard air on our personal rigs. Mopar does offer winches as an accessory now.

Small/Med sized truck (JK based)
Diesel...got that out of the way.
I use my YJ for snow plowing (works great by the way) and a lot of work related stuff. I think you guys could get the market, with accessories like the utility fourwheeler market does.(They make almost anything for my polaris sportsman) Take a look at the common things guys are buying and modifying on thier rigs. (winches) o/b air compressors. If you made it easy to install, and remove I would buy it from you guys instead of aftermarket, or building it myself. Also just a note, I don't like where the newer Jeep Body styles are going. I like boxy, I realize thats not aero-efficient (but it's a Jeep) I miss my XJ terribly. Keep the interiors simple, and easy to work on. No carpet, hose-out clean ups would be nice in new models, (that would mean sealing up electronics a little bit). I also like the comment someone made about the off-road only market to compete with Rhinos and stuff.
and last. I don't own a JK but I hear a lot of complaints about soft tops leaking... Thanks for listening guys! Keep it up I will always be loyal to the Jeep brand, if they maintain their reputation for being fun/rugged/ tough vehicles.

I'm not familiar with the SRT-8 vehicles, but that sounds like it might work. Sounds kinda like the digital monitor I'm going to install in our Ram.
I'm a fan of the analog gauge look though.
A selectable digital gauge would probably go good with a, are you ready... DIESEL though, haha, since there are more things you want to monitor on a diesel (EGT, boost, fuel pressure, etc) that you probably wouldn't care as much about with a gas vehicle.

How about a Jeep brand camping trailer? Larger tires, off road capable, hose out capability, Matched to width/height of most jeeps.

Here is what I would like to see:
Deisel Engine in the JK. While it is more than standard gas in some places, it will still net more mpg and therefore would work out to about the same. I would like to see a traditional torque peak though, making most of it's power down low.
Truck Version of the JK. The concept one based on the overseas one would be nice. I would want something closer to that though. Rear leafs and a stock D60 or D44. Better yet, a D60 rear with a D44 front in the truck, still solid axle.
More stripped optioned vehicles. I personally like the idea of manual windows, cloth seats and fewer options in general. might even help your lifetime warrenty program with less electronics to go bad.
Scale down the options. Kill off the Commander and Compass. Make the JK and the grand. Maybe a small car version with a AWd option, but IMO a waste of time. Jeep is a Jeep, consentrate on making a great JK and grand (and hopefully a trcuk!!!!!!!!). Let the other makers spend thier time and energy making 16 versions of the same small SUV, Car, wagon.
