A few days ago I was pulling out of a gas station and I had the wheel turned all the way to the left and I went to step on the gas and when I did I was getting no response, so then I look at the dash and the WK died. And the Oil light was on. What was that all about?

Second, my window sticker says power heated fold away mirrors with memory. How come my 2007 WK Overland does not have the power folding mirrors?

Adding the Parkview Camera
Back in May it was posted on this forum by JeepEngineers that later this year, dealers will be able to, via the dealer scan tool, program the ’07 parkview camera in ’05 and ’06 WKs retrofitted with an ’07 REC nav radio and the camera, etc.
My dealer doesn’t know anything about this yet. I actually have an ’07 and would like to add the factory parkview camera system and view it on the nav screen, but am waiting for this update. Do you have any additional information on this? Is it already a dealer option on the starscan if it’s an ’07? Thanks. |

Hi Folks
Back in May I was interested Daytime Running Light for 07 Overland - Here is the response from Brian at Jeep. "Hello Bill, Thank you for question. I understand your request and the usefulness of this feature. You are correct that this feature is available in other countries because it is a country specific requirement. We are currently investigating the feasability of enabling the U.S. dealers to activate this feature upon customer request. Stay tuned. Thanks, Brian " Has there been a change in the status on the DRL? I would very much like to have this feature. I have to turn the light on each time I drive but don't need the tail light and dash lights on. An information would greatly appreciated. thanks Bill |

By naming specific deficiencies, what are the limiting factors in the determination of the tow ratings.

If this is true, your window sticker is correct Your window sticker would have specifically called out power folding mirrors if your vehicle was so equipped.

A few of us were asked to bring a trip fault "P 103C" found on the DTC Report of a Jeepsunlimted member. He just wants to know what that code means and if it is at all related to what he calls the rear differential noise. He has a 2007 GC Hemi with QDII(Limited model.)

Hello.
Thank you for putting this together and offering your time. 2007 WK 4.7 purchased 8/20/07. Am experiencing the same issues as I read about in forums like this since 2005. Front windows do a dance. Halfway up then down. Transmission. Unless Im pounding on it, it gets like mush about 4th gear. Confused. Not sure what gear should be in. Brake rotors warping. All items there are multiple TSBs on. Not to mention that window regulators and brake rotors were also a nemisis on my 98XJ. Is this a supplier issue? What gives? Thanks, Rob |

I don't have any question yet, but one improvement suggestion came to my mind when test driving WK and watching it- I suggest to add some sort of swaybar disconnect, maybe something like Rubi JK style.
It could really improve the Wk offroad behavior (sure, WK benefits from ELSD, but sometimes more tire grip is a must), and people would definitely want to have this option. The other suggestion- I understand, that mass products have to be somehow "idiotproof", but please, leave people more choices in options than you do now. When sitting in WK I feel somehow restrained by all computers. For example permit to turn ESP completely and not turn again automatically; if you'd add swaybar disconnect, make it button operated without 5 computers monitoring "if driver really needs it". Driver knows better what he needs.

Hi Folks
I know this has been posted before. During Lunch I had to go to another building, started the Jeep and notice the temperature was only 58 degrees (wrong - I know this is an issue with the system or how jeep set it up) and had to drive for a while before the temperature read correctly - 78 degrees. JEEP ENGINEERS: a simple solution to this is when a Jeep is first powered up and you know that by many indicates (engine temperature, etc), read the outside temperature and set the display. Then keep your other requirements in place. A simple software fix and the system will be better for this. Just a suggestion. Thanks Bill |

To go along with what Mendelmax said, I too would like it if the WK has some type off offroad group besides skid plates. Include an electronic rear locker, a front limited slip, some more aggressive A/T tires, and perhaps a down hill decent control. Model it after the Land Rovers, not many people will take if offroad, but if they were, they would have no problem doing so.

Jeep Engineers,
Please make a part time transfer case available on the WK. This would be greatly appreciated. 2wd, 4HI, and 4 Low would be great. Thank you.
