There is a zipper lubricant available thru your dealer. it is a lube and brush item and helps with the zippers.

The old stand by is rubbing a bar of soap on the zipper teeth - but it can create a mess too!

Factory tow packages should come with the 7 pin connector anyway - by the way. The Commander does - why not the JK? (:
If your vehicle has the 4 way factory installed trailer wiring you will not need the update to the vehicle configuration.

I recently noticed a high-pitched whine which seems to be coming from the engine bay when I am at steady part-throttle on my '09 Rubicon with an automatic tranny (6K miles). Backing off of the throttle stops it, and I can't tell if giving it more stops it or it gets too loud to hear it. Do you have any ideas what this could be?

I checked my VIN for a recall (09 JK built 4/2009, took delivery 2 days before bankruptcy). My center console can be opened when locked when a bit of pressure by hand is applied to the push-in latch. Asked the dealer about it (5/1/2009) and they couldn't repair it, and the remaining JK's on their lot had the same issue at that time.

Thanks,
-Michael
There is a TSB for this very issue - it's number 23-018-09. Your dealer can find it on DealerConnect (they'll know what that is)

Big thanks to whomever made the tow hooks, fog lamps and stain-repel seats standard on the '10 Wrangler's. Nice to see that the engineers listen to the owners, and can accommidate our requests.

Now, can we please get the Yellow Paint back?

Have you added a cold air intake to the vehicle? We've seen this noise too, and it seems to be more prone to happening with a CAI...

I know that current regs really do a number on your ability to use diesel engines, but hopefully Fiat holds the answer here. At the very least, you know there's an eager and devoted market.

Diesels - lots of goverment regulations... LOTS.

Emissions are a huge challange for certification....

[QUOTE=Kip03TJ;8016340]I have a 03 Sahara and I'm putting selectable lockers in it. My instrument panel shows the front lock and rear lock at the top right but since I don't have the rubicon I don't have the wiring harness so I think I'm SOL. Do you know how I'd be able to light up each one without a harness? Possibly getting 12v to the lights back there somehow? Any ideas? I want a real clean look like from factory. Thanks!

[

Here's the back side of it. I'm thinking I'll have to take it apart but I'm not sure if that will screw things up or not.
[
You should be able to remove the back cover carefully and trace the lamp circuits on the board. You may be able to attach to the connector, but the light wiring will not be in the harness. Just be careful with the board.

Ditto. Who's crazy idea was it to pull yellow? I was very surprised to hear that it was dropped.

Are you all preparing for the Hummer HX (some now it as an H4) rumored to come late 2010? I think a V-8 2-door JK is the answer.

Thanks (:

I didn't have my computer "updated" after adding the 7-way harness. I was just curious if I should or not. You answered it (:

Just a few simple questions please do not be offended:

Have the tires been confirmed to be in balance?
Alignment been confirmed in spec?
Have the dealer verify the front axle is in spec for caster?
Has the vehicle been wheeled off road? Potentially bent an axle tube.

I believe that I took it in for a recall about six years ago. My new issue is that the parking break will not say locked in when under pressure.

For example, the parking break will hold the jeep on a hill if and only if I hold the pedal down with my foot. Once I release my foot 95% of the time the parking break will unlock and snap back, thus no longer holding on the hill.

I have not looked at the break pedal assembly, but I am wondering if this is a recall? It sounds familiar to what the recall was fixing.
I would take the vehicle to the dealer, it sound like the mechanism could be broken.

No, completely stock. It takes a split second for it to set up once you go to the throttle. I generally have the radio on, so I don't hear it.
