Little late... its wrangler based

OK, so I am a huge fan of the Jeep line of vehicles. I own an 05 wrangler to my wonderful wife's dismay as it is "not roadworthy." My response is its just hard finding a road that's worthy.

So, I am a little late on this, and hope it goes since it looks like its based off of the wrangler. You already know where I'm going with this....

Build the Jeep Gladiator. It looks to be built off of the current JK line and has many parts that are already in the inventory. In it you should include the 60 rear with a limited slip, 44 front, and have a variety of engine packages in about the following price ranges...

Gladiator 3.8 liter engine 29,000
Gladiator Hemi engine 33,000
Gladiator 3.0L Bluetec Diesel (automatic/manual tran options) 37,000/38,000

Jeep already has a strong family in its customer base and would do extremely well with this build. I only speak for myself when I say I'd love to tow my trail rig with an oil burning Rubicon Edition Gladiator. WOW... just puttin' it on paper gives me goosebumps.

Yes ... the dealer must update the software of the vehicle. This is required to ensure that the computer understands that there may be an additional electrical load placed by the property in tow. Without this update, the vehicle may think there is an electical issue, when there is not

What do you recommend to fix the constant exhaust cracks in the older TJ 4.0L models? A nice flex pipe? There is all sorts of opinions on it so Id like the Jeep designers take. Will a 00-06 bolt right up with header back modifications?

Not sure if this is a JK specific thread or all wranglers. I was eventually going to go to a dealer and ask about this issue. My 91 YJ has an issue with the parking break. I believe that I took it in for a recall about six years ago. My new issue is that the parking break will not say locked in when under pressure.

For example, the parking break will hold the jeep on a hill if and only if I hold the pedal down with my foot. Once I release my foot 95% of the time the parking break will unlock and snap back, thus no longer holding on the hill.

I have not looked at the break pedal assembly, but I am wondering if this is a recall? It sounds familiar to what the recall was fixing.

That TJ pict reminds me - real gauges that show actual temp for engine, trans, oil level, etc. would be nice. The idiot lights are not helping me - even though I am an idiot! Thanks (:

I'm curious as to why the Wrangler wasn't offered with the 3.5 V6 that was in the Charger, since it makes both more power and more torque. So basically, what was the reasoning for choosing the 3.8? (Not bashing, just wondering )

maybe, I believe VW is selling a compliant diesel, so I know it can be done....

Jettas don't cost anymore than Wranglers...

Is this true even if the vehicle came with the tow package from the factory, but with a 4-pin connector?

Factory tow packages should come with the 7 pin connector anyway - by the way. The Commander does - why not the JK? (:
