Based on what you are describing it sounds like you need a new soft top Steel header. The dealer can install a new steel header which will solve your problems.

I have completely stock 2008 X Unlimited with death wobble - please see YouTube - Stock JK Unlimited Death Wobble . Jeep started doing this at 6k. Right now I have 18k on jeep, and after 6 visits to 3 different dealers, and after having stabilizer, ball joints and track bar replaced, the problem is still there.
Scanning the JK section here shows I'm not the only one having this issue with completely stock jeep. How this can develop so early on completely stock jeep, and what do I do to get the dealer to fix this under warranty. I'm sick of hearing "it's steering stabilizer" and "all jeeps do this"...

We can only recommend the correct lubricant as found in your owners manual or service literature, so we can't speak to the use of alternate lubricants. In terms of the synchros, there again, all we would be able to suggest are the O.E. parts, assuming they are are still available from your dealer...if the aftermarket has come up with different materials, we wouldn't necessarily be aware of that or be able to recommend them.

No more weight than the largest stock tire - and a mopar bike carrier. The length of life on the sheetmetal is directly proportinal to the weight you might add.

My 07C Chrysler had a "fuel saver mode" indicator in the EVIC. My 09 WK Hemi does not have this feature and I think I would like it in my Jeeps. Any thoughts on this, and no you cannot make me give this Jeep up. A wonderful ride and I thank you.

PS: The sunroof leaks under a high pressure car wash, the same as my 08 Liberty does. Have to close the cover so I don't get wet. My 04 Overland never leaked and my 05 WK never leaked in the same car wash. Needs fixing.

80 CJ7 with a 151 Iron Duke / SR-4 Any overall issues with the Chevy 350 SBC / t400 Trans . I have a dana 300 and weanted to keep the trans case, however I have been told it would be better to take the original transfer case that came with the donor vehicle for an easier swap. What about exhaust, will I have a ton of issues to deal with when to comes to finding someone to bend the pipes properly and give it a good look that won't break the bank?

There are numerous posts on forums with photos of failed Transfer Case Bushings (Part number 68064273AA). Owners have done fixes on the spot with hitch clips, zip ties etc. A search should turn up tons of information that you guys might find helpful.

The only weight we certify for the tailgate is a stock size. We do not recommend heavier tires.

However, we know some do it, we don't know the long term effects. We run 100,000 mile durability tests...

First no the torque converter will not lock up in 1st of 2nd gear, second if you are off roading and driving at a low speed running in drive or picking a specific gear will not make a difference from a cooling stand point since the trans is doing alot of shifting. I would suggest you add a aux oil cooler.

We do not recommend tampering withe the vehicle electrical system.

What is the thickness of the axle tubes on the JK Dana 60 upgrade? What is the shaft diameter? Is this a full float or semi float axle? Does it use a conventional D60 carrier and gear set? Thanks for your help, JeepEngineers!
