I'm sorry guys, the only thing that would bring me to buy another new Chrysler-Jeep product, especially a Wrangler, is a turbodiesel under the hood. You sell them overseas, but not in the US, so the production and engineering is already done.

I'm an engineer myself, and I've seen too many design & manufacturing flaws present in the JK, TJ/LJ and other models that have had me scratching my head wondering why something was done like that.

Just bumping this back up: will the cab in me JK be quieter if I move the aftermarket muffler back behind the axle. I relocated it to in front of the axle and the drone is terrible.

Would there be a significant reduction in NVH just by mounting the muffler behind the axle again? If so, I'll spend the money to do it.

gonna edit this. starts at about 25mph and up...then stops when i get below 25 mph.

Didn't have time to read through all the posts before the Q&A was over so I hope I'm not beating a dead horse.

Love my '06 TJ Rubicon. Traded an '05 TJ Sport for it. In my opinion, the TJ is the last Jeep to actually look like a "jeep" so I would love to see any changes to the JK that make it look like a real "jeep".

Now along those same lines, I have always wondered why the Wrangler wasn't offered in the original "jeep" color, Olive Drab. I've seen this color (although it was gloss, obviously) on several other vehicles such as Explorers and little Nissan trucks, but never a Jeep.

Does the design of the 4.0 cause the rough idle, compared to most "cars"

If it is making a new noise then I would have a mechanic listen to it. There is no known problem on the TJ's that make a wining noise.

When will the half door kit for the JK be available, and how much will it cost?

Also are there any plans to offer the dual-door option when ordering a JK, in addition to the dual-roof option already available?

(Sorry if this question has already been asked. Time is running out and I can't read all 18 pages of questions.)

While we do offer the diesel in other markets, understand that the emissions regulations are drastically different elsewhere in the world. US diesel emisssions are the most stringent and require a DPF/NAC or SCR combined with EGR to meet...all of this stuff adds considerable cost and complexity to the vehicle in addition to the base engine.

However, that all changed in 2007 when you decided to make it a 4 door model. I know that this was done because there was a demand for it but I think it was a mistake to quit making a 2 door version of the Unlimited. The 13 extra inches on the 2 door version from 2003 to 2004 made a world of difference and I personally feel that a 4 door Wrangler is nothing more than an attempt to make a fun off road vehicle an off road family car. That my friends is not what Jeep and let alone Jeep Wrangler is about. Please bring back the 2 door Unlimited like it was from 2004 to 2006 and I guarentee that they will sell like funnel cakes at a carnival.
Thanks very much for your input. The 4 Door has been and continues to be very popular. The 2 Door in its present configuration also has more than held its own. We do value our loyal customers input however. Thank you.

It will improve it some, but nothing is certain with aftermarket components.

What was the reason for doing away with the life time powertrain warranty that JK's have previously had?
