On another note, thanks for answering our questions. Please never bastarize the Wrangler like so many other manufacturers have their vehicles. Always offer crank windows, manual transmissions, removable doors, solit axles, ect.
Thanks for your questions. No, the Surf Blue is still in production and can be still be ordered.

To your 2nd note, yes, absolutely, we agree and have no plans to soften the icon of the Jeep Brand.

I very much enjoy driving the Jeep Wrangler. When the Wrangler Unlimited was introduced in 2004 it was the best thing done to the Wrangler since the Wrangler was introduced. However, that all changed in 2007 when you decided to make it a 4 door model. I know that this was done because there was a demand for it but I think it was a mistake to quit making a 2 door version of the Unlimited. The 13 extra inches on the 2 door version from 2003 to 2004 made a world of difference and I personally feel that a 4 door Wrangler is nothing more than an attempt to make a fun off road vehicle an off road family car. That my friends is not what Jeep and let alone Jeep Wrangler is about. Please bring back the 2 door Unlimited like it was from 2004 to 2006 and I guarentee that they will sell like funnel cakes at a carnival.

I took delivery (4/2009) with a scratch down to the white on the side of my Freedom Top. Dealer had to get the special "Hard Top touch-up" paint. How about including a 4oz bottle of said touch-up in addition to the Freedom Top bag (oh, and the dealer didn't know about that bag being included when I ordered it separate from them, then returned it)??

I'd like to put a congo cage on my JK so that I can carry a pair of kayaks and have a roof on my jeep at the same time. The front of the congo cage bolts into the threads for the fold-down windshield. For the back of the congo cage, I have to drill into the tub at the corner, place a bracket inside corner fender and bolt into that. I'd rather not have to drill into the tub.

Why doesn't the JK have a threaded mounting point at the rear of the jeep? This would allow JK owners to attach a congo cage without drilling into the tub.

Is Jeep working on another solution to the difficulty of adding racks/congo cages onto the JK?

Thanx

I'd just like to say that most of the jeep line up looks great. The wrangler rubicons are amazing, and they are the best equipped wranglers ever.

But the garbage mid sizers need to go. And stop getting rid of manual transmissions!

Keep the wranglers, liberty, and grand cherokee, and call it a day.

And please realize that making the Wrangler IFS in the future, will essentially make the company dead to many people!

Thanks!

That is a very good idea. Cost is of course important, but we will take that into consideration. Thanks!

Oh one more before the thread is locked.

Whining noise...kind of sounds like air entering and exiting the jeep..coming from by my tcase/rear differential area, not loud but noticable.. 2006 TJ dana44 rear. I just got a bearing replaced in the t case due to it being flattened out. Anything to worry about here?

I loved the styles of the 2004-2006 Unlimited. The newer versions seem too square, too bulky and have too much cheap looking plastic. Is there any chance of going back, maybe taking in from the past? Maybe even some more color options!

Thank you!

Unfortunately no, crash regulations drive a lot of decisions and the old CJ/YJ/TJ tub couldn't continue to meet pending crash regulations...
