Is it true that there is a TSB out there for factory axle seals (mostly in the front axle D30's) for those with a 2003-2006 TJ failing before the warranty runs out? I ask cause I've taken my rig off road once in the 32k miles I've had it and the front axle seal is leaking diff fluid around my wheel hubs.
No problem...we enjoy this.

No, there's no TSB for axle seals. TSBs are generally written to help a dealer diagnose a problem that is not very easy to root-cause. Axle seals are pretty easy to figure out for all but the owrst mechanic, so no TSB....

I doubt it would be possible to bend axle with stock tires with only mild off-road (forest service roads and such)?
Have the dealer check the caster and cross caster if either are out of spec I would go after that as well as check the front axle to see if it is bent. Other than that I am out of ideas.

I'd like a complete lining of the interior of the hard top. Cloth/whatever down the sides and possibly slightly thicker material for heat and sound insulation on the top sections.

In my 07 JK ive noticed that alot of the interior parts are starting to rust ... or oxidize. Mainly on the emergency brake, under the steering wheel, and some of the seat bolts are taking a beating. Ive never left the top down in the rain.

Why wasnt the bare metal in the interior better coated to stop this from happening?

Again, thanks for the time !

The axle can ingest water when it is submerged - even with good axle seals. Hot axles, dipped in cold water, can suck water in from many places. Keep up with the routine manitance and check after off roading.

Thanks for being here. Seems like you have the difficult job to make stuff we would buy, but also make the execs and the guberment happy too.

Thanks for doing a great job. I will wait patiently for that JT or 2015 XJ remake.

You know...if a JK and a crate 5.7 were just accidentally dropped off at the SRT Engineers work area...just saying...never know what could happen.

There is something I've been wondering about the Wranglers. Why is it that they aren't offered with the 242 transfer case? I don't know that anyone's asked this before. I'd love to own an Unlimited with that setup. I realize there are pros to the 231, but a full-time option would make it more versatile. It's probably the favorite transfer case of a lot of Grand Cherokee Jeepers. I'd even be interested in seeing something like a more robust Quadradrive. I like that 4wd system. But perhaps something targeted especially to Wranglers with the option of 2wd and then full-time 4wd/part-time full locking 4wd, and then, of course, 4-low with a true full-lock. Just giving one more control over their Jeep. The Unlimited in my eyes is an attempt to mesh the ruggedness of the Wrangler with some of the comforts of the Grand Cherokee, without sacrificing its rugged roots.

04 TJ Unlimited (LJ to you)
I just got it and its got just 22K on it with zero modifications.
Two questions regarding things that happened to me more then 3 times each.

1; I would be driving normally and would be approaching a stop light, slowing down from 30 to 20 and down to a stop then right before the jeep comes to a complete stop it gives like a little rev and then it sorta jerks back.

2; I would be driving all around town, all different types of roads, then I would slow down to about 10-5 mph and would turn into any driveway with a slight incline or a side street with a slight incline, the jeep would then attempt to down shift I guess and I would feel it rev and not actually turn the wheels and then it catches...

What would be the cause of these issues and are they related?

Thank you engineers for taking out the time to answer our questions! And I apologize for the long question I just felt I needed to be clear.

Hello Jeep Engineers
Thank you for your time

I have installed an LPG system in my 258 engine, (87 model) I know, it is old and probably way before your time, but I was wondering if you had any comment about the effects of LPG on the original design of the engine, so far it has worked very well but should I be careful with anything specific?

I know this question does not relate to anything new or any company plans, I was only hoping you guys would provide some insight about maintaining the vehicle in good shape working with a different fuel, after all, it is out of warranty
