daytime running lights

Hi Folks
I have a 2007 GC Overland – like the vehicle much more than 1996 GC limited. However, I believe in Daytime Running Light (DRL) and 07 does not have it, I have to turn on all the lights so I have something. I believe that is a waste of lights. I went to the dealer and they had no idea how to turn them on – they tried with the scan tool but could not find the setting – good for them.

Two Questions; why don’t Jeep offer DRL in the USA? Second how can I get them turned on? I have to believe it is a software switch and all Jeep has it but it is only activated on foreign sales - Jeeps.
I would appreciate any help on the subject.
Thank you
Bill

Is Jeep producing many 2007 WK CRD's for the US market? So far I have only heard of one at a local dealer, and I haven't seen any marketing efforts (besides on Jeep.com).

Although the WK CRD seems to be listed at top dollar (on the Limited), I have interest, in part as a tow vehicle for my TJ. I'd also like to see the CRD offered on the Laredo (Jeep.com does not now say that it does, but I thought at one time it did?).

Also, I test drove a KJ CRD and loved the torque! Thanks for visiting with us!

On my '05 is it possible to have the oil pressure and volt monitor read on the display like on the SRT WK?

RockinXJ 05-30-2007 04:07 PM

I currently have a 2004 WJ Overland. I find it to have very comfortable seating. You might say it's like sitting in a marshmallow. I was curious one day, and went to the local dealer to check out a 2006 WK Overland just to compare. After sitting down in it, I immediately noticed how uncomfortable the seats were. My wife has the same opinion.

Is there any reason these new luxury SUV's have seats that feel like a 4x12 board?

Are we still on--if so sorry I am late.

First of all my thanks for a great vehicle, especially QDII

My question. Since the computer for the Hemi was changed in 2006 to allow a higher engine compression (leaner engine) before injecting additional fuel, why hasn't a TSB been issued to allow a reflash for the 2005 models, which due to this issue suffer from a lack of compression and thus the ability to crawl down steep grades smoothly? This is a safety issue as well as a "black eye" for the Jeep name in an era of competitive vehicles touting downhill assist control.

The SRT has a specific instrument cluster and it is not possible to update a cluster in a non- SRT model. Sorry!

What is the tow rating for a Limited model WK with the Hemi, and with the new Bluetec Diesel?

Thanks!

The tow rating for the Hemi and the diesel are identical - 7200-lbs for a 4wd and 7400-lbs for a 2wd.

Thanks for joining in tonight!!

Why does it seem that all 5.7 engines have a tick to them (like bad lifters)

Believe it or not, if you sit in 'em for a while, they get more comfortable as time passes, such as on a long trip. Of course we appreciate the comments about the intial feel during a test drive and will keep that in mind for the future.

Hey guys, thanks for taking the time.

Honestly, what is the speed range at cruise control on a flat road for the MDS to kick in?

Why did jeep cut down on the head room on the WK's from what the WJ's had? I'm assuming it was for aerodynamics, but there is a significant difference between the two...was it necessary to cut down on the headroom that much ?

I'm not going by dimensional facts, but by my experience in driving both generations over long term periods...obviously with the power seat you can position yourself so your head isn't hitting the roof in the WK, but its not nearly as comfortable as the WJ for taller people...

Hello, and welcome...I have a '05 Laredo with QT1. I'm wondering if the QDII is matable to my '05. I'm to understand that the wiring is already present for such upgrades. Is this possible??? Thanks
