The transmission shifts from D to 1st directly by holding the shifter to the right (without kicking several times), it is a useful feature. But would happen if the shifter got hold to the right by mistake at high speeds?

Silly question, but is there anyway to permanently disable the auto-dimming mirrors? I have to do it manually every time I drive at night since they dim the second the Jeep is turned on. Just like my WJ did, but that vehicle allowed me to shut them off completely.
Thanks for your time. |

Hey ahmed255, they wanted to know what kind of radio you have so they could tell you how to change the time format.

ESP Off
No, the rest of the vehicle is not adversly affected by having the ESP in Off. The brakes, engine, and other affected systems are capable of operating continously in ESP on, partial, and full off.

Why does the 5.7 hemi sometimes have up to a 2 second flat spot on acceleration. This can make pulling out into traffic a little too exciting for my taste....... It can happen from a stand still, a slow roll or on the highway doing 65. Does not happen all the time.

If you tap the shifter left it lowers the max gear (gear limiting function). Tap right raises the max gear until you get to "D". In the case of "tapping" to a lower gear, you can select 1 - no matter what speed. Still you will never get to 1 until you go slow enough to safely get a downshift to 1st. Once there, you will stay in 1st. Hope this helps.

The delay from a stand still or a slow roll is partly an issue of tuning and striking a balance between a throttle that is "too responsive" and one that "isn't responsive enough". We'll include your concern in future calibration discussions. As for the concern at highway speed, it is most likely a momentary delay as your MDS system transitions from V4 mode to V8 mode.
