Is it too early to talk about some of the new features in the '09 Commander, like the new gen II Hemi and push-button start?

Upgrades...
Most people out there like to do a CAI or Cat Back upgrade, but are afraid that by doing so, will lose the warranty, the dealers are a pain to deal with when it comes to warranty issues, what is your point of view on upgrades?

Technically, would Jeep be able to install a diesel motor into the existing platform without major design changes? This is hypothetical of course and in no way lends credence to future plans.

There will not be a an I-POD integration cable available for the 2008 MY. You can plug in your I-POD through the USB to download supported files and the AUX port to play music from your I-POD.

Well, our position is going to naturally be the we don't recommend any of these upgrades. The warranty policy is outlined in the owners manual or warranty supplement and basically states that any modification that causes a failure will not be covered.

my dad's commander has the 4.7L V8 and gets around 8 to 10 mpg. it is serviced regularly at the dealership. his previous WJ with the same engine got 25mpg on the highway. is the extra weight of the commander to blame here? what is Jeep doing to improve fuel economy in the commander, WK and all other vehicles? A suggestion - diesel with 30mpg available in all models.

I had posted about this issue in a prior session but have not been able to come up with a solution. The problem is the wipers on an '08 WK, they are noisy in that they make a "clunk" sound when they reach the upper part of their travel, right as they reverse direction.
Dealer has no idea what to do, and I'm not sure if this is characteristic of the WK wiper system. In most of the other vehicles I have owned you cannot even hear the wipers at all as they smoothly and quietly swipe back and forth. I have tried changing blades/arms but no difference. Is there any type of adjustments in the linkage I can look into? Would replacing the wiper motor help? |

Is there any way to change the clock format from 24h to 12h in Commander 07?

The OBD regulations are so restrictive that no changes are recommended due to the risk of a MIL light. The warranty risk is real.

Due to system architecture and packaging differences a MYGIG will not connect to a WK/XK built prior to 2008 MY.
