Sirius Antenna...

Discussions have been happening (on jeepcommander.com) about the location of the antenna in the back having interference from the roof rack cross member. Any chance this might be getting moved?

Not having a Star Scan here, we cannot confirm that the capability exists to enable the camera, however, if you find a dealer that is willing and able, here is how to activate the camera:

Is the XK using the CAN bus? How many devices do you have communicating on it?

Yes the XK uses the Can Bus. There are up to 28 modules(depending on how your vehicle is equipped) communicating on the CAN bus.

For optimal satellite radio reception and minimum wind noise, the cross bars should be placed in the 1st (most foward) position and in the 4th (2nd from most rearward) position. There are no plans to change the location of the satellite antenna.

The antenna really is in a bad place. If you use the roof racks to carry anything the antenna is blocked. As engineers you really should consider moving it up front.

Can you tell us when an ipod intergration cable be available for people with 08 RER MyGig with Nav? Currently there is one for the non nav. but not nav.

The front axle is a C200F (Corporate 200). The ring gear diameter is 200mm (7.9") and it's a high pinion design - the pinion is above center which is generally stronger for a front axle. It also has a cast iron housing. The ELSD version again has the torque capacity of a locker.

We have built several Mopar Underground concept vehicles such as the Safari Commander which have been wheeled in Moab, Drummond Island, Pennsylvania, Washington, etc. with up to 35" tires. As with any vehicle, there are drivers that can make things live with large tires and there are drivers that wouldn't be able to get out of their driveway without breaking something.

It is not possible to update a vehicle to the new keyless ignition system.
