Naturally we can't recommend any aftermarket modifications, especially one such as performance chip which may void your warranty should it cause a failure. As far as a lift goes, again we can't recommend a specific brand since Mopar does not offer a lift for WK/XK at this time. Same disclaimer goes - if the aftermarket lift causes a failure of a component, it won't be covered under warranty.

I own a 2006 Jeep Commander limited and was wondering if the factory style back-up camera can be added. I have the nav radio with the proper three pin in the rear for the wire harness to plug into. I know the parts can be ordered (camera/bracket/wire harness) but it is my understanding that the Commander's Can Bus System will not recognize it all after install to make it function.

Are there any plans to add a Star Scan function or program to turn this feature on or activate it? I really would like to have this feature (along with many others) and it was after all available in the 2006 year on the later models.

The after market one with the separate screen is not something I am remotely interested in.

Love diesels, but the 3.0L diesel is currently only offered in the Grand Cherokee.

It sounds like you have all the right stuff (the radio that is), and additionally you are correct in the parts required. The dealer should be able to configure the FCM (Front Control Module) for rear camera.

The largest tire that we can recommend is the P245/65R17 - 29.5" OD. Aftermarket lift kits are available that will fit up to 35" tires.

Sorry...but to follow up on the camera install. The dealer has no clue about this mod and states there is no function to "turn it on" I know of a few other owners and dealers who have tried this or wanted to add this feature and several others have installed all the parts only to find the camera will not work. Any tips to share with the dealer regarding star scan or anything more would be very helpfull and much appreciated. Sorry for the follow-up question but this problem is driving me nuts.

The Star Scan is a stand-alone diagnostic tool, it cannot be programmed into a vehicle.

Sorry, mixing things up. I have a Catia induced headache...

I am curious about adding more functionality to the system. I have heard about XK's that have functions like holding the lock/unlock on the remote for 3 seconds and the windows going up/down.

Is this type of thing possible on my '06 XK?
