I would like to see the full time 4 wheel drive as an option. I would make it easier for my Fiancee to use when the weather is bad.

I have a 2007 Wrangler Unlimited. The rear 60/40 seat is supposed to fold down flat. When new, the head-rest folded when it contacted the front seat's head-rest and then the rear seat folded all the way flat. Now the rear head-rest only starts to fold when it hits the front seat about half way down the front seat's back. I also have to run the front seat almost all the way forward and tilt the front seat back almost all the way verticle. Have had it into the dealership twice and they say they do not know what is wrong.

I know it's not 'engineering', but I have been trying to find a final production number for the 04 - 06 Unlimiteds. Can you point me in the right direction?

Have you guys figured out a way to deliver new Jeeps with full doors installed and half doors in boxes in the back? Are you actively working on it? Dual-door option is one I see requested very often.

My trusty '97 TJ with its 4.0L engine still has the random '43' DTC code preceeded by the usual rough running engine with often severe missing, it sounds like it is running on four cylinders. There was a Technical Service Bulletin for early TJ 4.0L engines that said to try replacing the valve springs because there was a bad batch of weak valve springs in the early model TJs.
I replaced my valve springs with the recommended p/n valve springs and that somewhat reduced the problem but it definitely did not cure it. Jim Repp, a senior engineer at Jeep even tried to help me with the problem but that was before the TSB was issued and even his help didn't help. The TSB did not help either. Is there a permanent fix for this random '43' code and misfire problem? The Jeep will be running very smoothly and then very suddenly, it will start missing and then within a few minutes the Check Engine light illuminates with a 43 code freshly stored. Then just as suddenly, within a few days, it will suddenly and immediately clear up on its own. It may run fine for weeks and then the problem just pops up... it occurs very randomly, it doesn't matter how it was being driven before it starts missing. I am certainly just one of many with this problem. Help!!

Speedometer Correction
Would there be there any problem caused by installing a speedometer recalibration device between the transfer case speed sensor and the PCM on an '04 manual transmission Rubicon? The device I have in mind is a Yellow Box, which taps into the 5-volt wire, taps into the ground wire, and is inserted inline in the speed sensor signal line. The device is designed for magnetic hall-effect sensors, which I believe the Rubicon has.
If this looks ok to you, what precautions if any should I take? By the way, my Rubicon speedo reads 10% high due to a combination of original factory error, differential ratio change (4.88), and tire size change (35"). Thanks!

Hi guys, thanks for coming! I've tons of questions regarding the JK and my '95 Wrangler. But to make things easier to answer, I'll limit one question per post unless you guys can handle more.
![]() First off, will either JK t-cases bolt up to the 545RFE transmission? |
