ZJ wants some real tires...suggestions!?!

I recently took my 98 ZJ seriously off roading with a few friends and quickly discovered my stock tires (goodyear wrangler 225x70Rx16)along with my suspension are less then adequate. I am going to in the furture be adding a lift (3"-4")...when I get the money for it (seeing as how I am a poor college kid) anyway, I was woundering what would be the largest (most aggressive) tire size I could fit on my Grand Cherokee w/o a lift for now and if possible on my stock 16" rims? Any suggestions on tires and sizes would be great. also I would not mind doing any minor modifacations...as long as it is cheep and easy to make them fit.

thanks

get yourself a small spacer lift, such as BDS spacers or some other kind of spacers, that way you can fit 30 or 31s. For tires, Check out your local Big O Tires mud terrains. They are very aggressive, have a 50,000 mile warranty, which includes offroad driving, and they are cheap compared to most other mud terrains. I've had them for a while on mine and they show no wear and work great offroad.

I've got the new Mud Terrains from BFG and couldn't be more impressed by them.
