zj skid plates

Hey guys does anyone know who makes or sells skid plates for a 96 zj i'm most intrested in the gas tank and transmission skid plates. I've tried the dealer and they no longer carry them for my year and other places wanted around 400 bucks for the gas tank seems a little out there. maybe someone has some used ones sitting around?

For the gas tank skid, try local junkyards. There should be a few ZJs with the metal Gas tank skid on them. Tranny skids didnt come from the factory, but transfer case skids did. Same thing as the gas tank skid, check the local junk yards or You Pull Its. If you have a 249 Transfer case i think its different because it hangs down a little lower.

And I would try fabbing up a Engine, Tranny skid. Cant be to hard right?

Kevin's TC skid/crossmember is pure beef. I've slammed my Heep down on that sucker several times.
