Hi-new to the club here but am the proud owner of 3 Grand Cherokees (a '95, '02, and '05) so I have 1 each of the 3 generations. My question is- does anyone make a lowering kit for ZJ's? My 17-year-old drives it and would like to drop it and put on 19's or 20's. If no one makes a drop kit is there any way to do it yourself? Thanks in advance.

Hmmmm
Sandbags lots of sandbags LOL just kidding. I'm more tune to dealing with teenage girls. I gotta admit though I haven't heard of droping a jeep on this forum. Welcome to the forum.

195/60SR15..... that would lower about 2", but it may look funny.
I think you may have better luck at JU forum for lowering a Jeep

I did see some 30" wheels advertized the other day.... it looked like they had about an inch of rubber for tires... but you would have to lift the Jeep to run them

Thanks for the very fast replies. What is the JU forum you're speaking of? I have found drop kits for the WJ's but don't want to do that. (The '02 is the one I drive). The '95, being my first (I bought it with 30K on it, it now has 145K) I had to do some mods to it. It has an overbored throttle body, TB spacer, cold air intake, MSD coil with Mopar Performance wires, Jet Stage 1 chip, hi-flo cat and Gibson exhaust. This on the 4.0 six. Also cross-drilled and slotted rotors with ceramic pads, tranny cooler. Nice and quick, still gets 20 mpg highway. He gets the title on his 18th(he's already got 4 subs and 1500 watts of stereo. At least I got him away from the notion of getting a Civic. Can the coils be cut to lower it, do you think?

JU is JeepsUnlimited.com, which is the more appropriate forum to ask about ricing out your Jeep. Here most users will just ignore or make fun of your questions about lowering instead of lifting.

I would discourage you from cutting the springs because I have heard that it makes the ride harsh. If Eibach doesn't make springs, H&R might.
