ZJ Horn......need a replacement
Has anyone had to replace their horn? I press the wheel and got no sound the oher day, so the horn as officially died. Its been sounding weak since I bought the Jeep, so it was a matter of time before it needed replacing anyway.
My questions are..... Are there 2 horns to replace (similar to the pic) or just one? Anything particular I should look for? Location on a ZJ? Thanks! ![]()

Two horns, a high and low frequency horn...had to replace them multiple times on my ZJ. The low-frequency one kept dieing. IIRC they are under the front right bumper cover.

Just standard electric horns. They're powered through a relay so add as many as you want, salvage yards have these already pulled if cost is a concern.
I have 4 horns, 2 behind each bumper side and facing forward/down at 45* angle to road. They're kinda loud -have po'd a few when they get in my way. I recall my oem horns were angled toward the back -louder inside than outside! |

They are located under the front bumper on the passenger side.
