ZJ help

I have a 1993 ZJ with the five speed manual and the I6, runs and drives great but there is a weird rubbing noise when I'm coasting. If I really step on it there is no noise but otherwise there is and it seems to go faster the faster I go. I had it on a lift and everything seems to have checked out so im really lost as to what it could be. Also I'm looking for some cheap but cool mods I can do! Thanks!

Does the noise appear when you turn or just coast? is it tire/road noise? if its a whining noise under power, that would be your pinion bearings.

It could be any number of things. Pinion bearings, wheel bearings, worn brake rotors........ What area is the noise coming from?

Check to see if anything is touching the drive shaft in any way. When under power the pinion will rotate. When you coast it returns to its normal orientation and something may be rubbing it.
