Primed oil pump and bolted her in.

A little dish soap and the seal slid in with minimal frustration :-)

I've got everything sealed, bolted and torqued. I'm just waiting to pick up the head from the miller.

Got the head back yesterday. No cracks and no leaky valves :-) Looks pretty damn good. Cost 95$.

Just waiting on a second set of hands to set her in.

It hasn't been too bad. Everything including the head being milled has ran me around 300$.

I don't lol!

This is my first head job and oil pump replacement but I've read a lot and got a lot of info from friends who are master mechanics. Plus, I seem to have a hand for this stuff so hopefully everything works out lol

You pulled the oil pan with the engine in the vehicle? Oh wait, its 2wd right? I unbolted my pan, pulled, twisted, tugged, unbolted shocks, raised vehicle, swore like a sailor, and still cant get the oil pan out!!! I need like 3/4" more clearance between engine and axle to swing the thing out towards the rear. Any advice?

I let the front axle sit at full droop, no weight on the axle. I also disconnected the steering stabilizer and there was a ton of room.
