if you want to be sure, check the voltage at the PCM connector. it's pretty much cut and dry unless you missed a blown fuse.

there are plenty of youtubes and i posted some links in the DD. it's really pretty simple once you've familiarized yourself with how an operable circuit tests. while your scraping up cash, you can save yourself some cash later on by learning how to troubleshoot electrical circuits. just sayin...

Every thing I've learned so far is cuz I had to fix it!....this is Jus another venture. Won't lie though, I'm a lil intimidated by circuitry! really need to get better with a multi-meter for sure.

I'm assuming DD is dirty dozen......but all I see is boobie's!

Searching for my good digital meter, and I know how to read schematics. I'll print that one out. What time you work tomorrow. If it rains, I may be able to swing by; but there again, I hope you have room for us to push the front end up into the garage.

OK, found my meter; so it depends on the time you go in to work and the rain.

This is my meter....

yes, the PCM reads the resistance of the sending unit in the tank, and sends the information out on the CCD bus.

Thus confirming more that my pcm is inoperative?

no, its further evidence that the PCM is probably bad. the fat lady is singing. you need to check those voltages to be sure it's not a power problem

Was dry enough to really crawl around under there and check for shorts. Checked all the wires visually and be feel (those few spots on top the tranny), and found only the spot metioned before. Body harness side of the downstream O2,green wire, Red or Orange stripe. Harness melted all the way through to this wire till it grounded out.

Also Jus noticed that after having the key on for 30 seconds the alarm light on the dash comes on and stays on. Any relevance?

Found a blown fuse.

Could barely tell it was blown even with a light held up behind it.

So on that note, I'm gonna sit back and let the bashing commence.......ill check back later.

Glad you seem to have found some cheaper-than PCM problems to fix & hopefully end the starting woes. I, too, was dealing with this but it seemed to all be reset by simply unhooking my battery's negative cable after re-charging it (left 1 map light on overnight, all it took to drain it down bad enough that my alt. couldn't make up the difference) as after charging it BEFORE unhooking the cable, it just kept dying anyway with a full charge! Cost me $100 of diagnostics at a friendly shop to determine that's all there was to it! If it happens again tho, I'm aiming for the CPS to be changed with a Mopar one as that sucker is old & could be faulty & doesn't cost THAT much to swap if it takes that to rule it out. Fortunately, I'm going on 3+ weeks without a die-out issue so I don't think that'll come up any time too soon.

LMAO at "DD" = boobies and BTW, who the hell is "Jus"?
