ZJ Car Seat Tether

I'm looking into turning my son's car seat forward facing and was wondering how I'm going to mount the tether in my 95 ZJ. The owners manual says there is a reinforced mounting location but doesn't say where.

Anyone else mounted a tether in a ZJ?

Did you have to drill a hole for it? in the floor of the cargo area or?

I ran mine over the back seat and screwed the little bracket to the floor.. My car seat teather has a clip and a bracket kind of thing..

Two 1 1/4 screws did it just fine...

Good luck..

Mine is a 3/8" bolt, I guess i was just hoping i could avoid drilling a hole in the floor.

I'll probably just drill the hole, hit it with some rustoleum, and bolt 'er in.

Thanx for your input Carl

Be carefull drilling thru the floor.. THe tank is under there and so are the fuel lines..
Make sure you get it kinda close to the seat.. Otherwise you wont be able to get to the screw to put the nut on from the bottom..

Good luck..

Yeah, my plan is to drill from underneath if possible, so I can avoid damaging anything.
