ZJ Bumper and Winch Pictures

I haven't seen a thread that just has pictures of ZJ's with winch bumpers and winches. This will make it easier to decide what bumper and winch options are available and what they look like mounted, and also show different options for mounting the solenoid box.

Please only post pictures if you have a winch setup. Please list the bumper and winch make and model, and if you would do something different the next time.

ARB Bumper, 4x VisionX Solstice lights (~4000 lumens), Superwinch 10000LP, Warn D-rings, flip plate bracket from Quadratec. The only changes coming are the lights being swapped for a Rigid E Series 30" bar. And I'll try a Warn winch maybe if this one ever dies.

RC winch plate, custom tube work, Warn M8000 winch, KC 130W driving lights

Winch is behind the registration plate; front overhand is basically exactly the same as is with stock front bumper.

Proto Fab winch bumper with the RC9500S (Rough Country 9500lb synthetic rope with wireless remote) I have owned the ARB bull bar winch bumper with a Warn 9000. on a previous ZJ. Both are very strong. but I am very happy with the Proto fab. It is a different look that is for sure. as for the winch, the Money you save and all you get extra with the RC. I got to say if I had to do it over I would stay with what I have now. after this RC9500S winch, I learned l will never own cable again. Its synthetic for now on. i have several reasons why Synthetic over steel cable. but I wont go into that now. And, I will always own a wireless remote as well. Wireless comes in so handy not to be tethered to the Jeep during winching operations. The winch came with both wireless and wired. I just never use the wire remote.

Bumper is a Protofab with a custom light bar.
Winch is an early 90's Ramsey Pro9000.
The solenoid box usually mounts to the backside of the winch, but there wasn't enough room with this setup. I had to mount it to the bumper, beside the winch. I like the location better for more airflow to the radiator, but I'm not totally happy with my mounting setup. I may have to tweak it in the near future. I really love this bumper. It gives lots of clearance and it has served me well, but it would be nice if the winch sat lower, like the ARB, although I don't like how bulky and square the ARB bumpers are. I still need to relocate my charcoal canister - I have hit it a couple of times.

Do you have any closer pictures to see how the winch sits in the bumper? It looks a lot like my Protofab, I think. I like how low it is. Plenty of airflow to your radiator.
