Ohhhhhh I like that!!!
The easiest way to do a part like that would be to make the entire fender as a single piece to avoid cutting into the existing fender.
Not sure if a do-it-yourself kit would be as popular. Only the more adventuresome of us (Swampy where are you hiding?) have the cahunas to take a saw to their bodies.
Any of you ZJ and WJ owners like that WKJeep side-vent design? It's a beautiful piece. I'm thinking the bolt-in fenders would run $300-500 for the pair. Vents alone would probably run $100 or so...but you'd have to glass them in and repaint your fenders anyway so the end cost might be around the same.
Here's what I came up with:
12 Wrangler Sahara JK8 conversion, <10 miles (FOR SALE, $56,700)
01 WJ Limited, 4.7, 247, black on black, 157k miles (sold)
96 XJ Classic, 4.0, 242, black on grey, 267k miles (sold)
00 XJ Sport, 4.0, 242, fern green on grey, 76k miles (sold)
90 XJ Wagoneer, 4.0, 242, burgundy on tan, unknown mileage (sold)
97 ZJ Limited, 5.2, 249, black on black, 138k miles (wrecked 12/15/05)
98 ZJ Limited, 5.2, 249, burgundy on black, 197k miles (sold)
