Will a front diff from a 94 Cherokee work under a 93 Grand Cherokee

Direct swap so long as the gear ratios are the same and the driveshaft type is the same.

Don't be surprised if the high pinion Cherokee axle has interference issues when swapped into an unlifted Grand Cherokee. Also note that the Grand Cherokee D30 uses cam bolts on the lower control arm mounts to adjust caster. The Cherokee D30 lower control arm brackets do not work with cam bolts.

I thought 95 and newer were the high pinion? I have a four inch lift so if it is I don't think that clearance will be an issue.

Do you mean 95+ ZJs were high pinion? If that's what you mean, no, the ZJs didn't come with high pinion, and that's why a lot of people swap them out.
