Better luck swapping that 4.2 to fuel injection then putting the 5.2 in there

The 5.2 wouldnt be a bad swap into a yj. Biggest things would be fabbing engine and trans mounts and the wiring harness. Everything else should fall into place unless he wants to carb the engine and make it that much easier

If he does a pre does a pre odb swap he can run a 5.9 ecu for a better fuel map and lil more ponies cause I did the same thing in my 95 ram and made a noticeable difference but if he goes carb way more power to be added

Not a bad swap at all.
There's plenty of 5.2L/5.9L into YJ threads in the YJ section here.
It's pretty straight forward.

BIG NEGATIVE on the carburetor.... That's one of only two things I hate about the YJ(that and the 3.07 cogs...)

Supposedly the donor ZJ "has the 360 in it", but I'll believe it when I see it....
Probably it's a 5.2L, which is fine by me.

EDIT: Drove by it today, but I didn't stop, since no one was home but the big Rottweiler who didn't look very happy to see me.
It's a red Laredo, so no 5.9L unless someone did a transplant.

Whatever... LOL

They actually look decent lifted. I prefer my mall crawler though, only one during the week.

I test drove a stock Trailhawk a few weeks ago because my buddy is looking at buying a Cherokee and wanted a second opinion...loved it so much I wanted to drive away with it. Too bad its sticker price was 10x what I paid for my ZJ

It looks pretty damn good as far as new vehicle designs go except for all of that offset accenting.. That both drives my ocd insane and just makes it look poorly laid out for a flagship type ride. I've heard a lot of good about it tho

I don't think that's a bad thing.
