Ykydazjw: You weigh the cost of replacing the engine, and rebuilding the entire drive line, against a new zj, and you still want to keep YOUR zj.

I have another 100k to go on mine before I really need to start worrying, but Im looking, and I like the idea of having an (internally) brand new zj.

Replace the engine with an ATK, rebuild the tranny, put in a dana 44 in the rear, 35 upfront. All told, I could put a substantial down payment on a new rubi, but it wouldn't be MY ZJ.

When this gets you excited! Sway bars are still connected. I can definitely push for more flex.

And then break your sway bar end links or bushings like I did going off road with my sway bar still connected.

I have JKS quick discos. Didn't feel like pulling the pins lol. Everytime I pull the pins, I gotta have a buddy sit on the fender to push the link down far enough. I was solo, just flexed on the hill outside of my work.

Sounds like you don't have their lengths adjusted correctly.

Probably, this was a bought not built type thing, so I need to adjust some things. But so far, it looks like it was done right and not half assed.

When it breaks down either as soon as you get a little extra money or when your budget is extremely tight

Yep, there it is there... I got laid off and may need a new battery, just ran a screw over my right rear tire without a matching spare, and possibly may need to look in my parking brake issue (hopefully just needs tightening)
