5.2L crate, 2.5in from the manifolds back, no cat (bought without one, hi flow coming soon), with a glass pack cherry bomb, and to top it all off, a niner exhaust tip from a JF member.

Glass pack....I was expecting something like Borla or Bassani

I'm not following...I dislike borla because of their products, it doesn't sound throaty compared to other manufacturers.

That's why I swapped to a Niner fan in my 5.2L. Now it sounds good, despite it being a stock exhaust
Now to get one for the wife's 4.0L, so you can hear the welded Thrush's rumble over that fan...

When you park it, and it keep lurching forward for 5 minutes after you stop the engine . . .

My Borla sounds pretty damn throaty, what are you comparing it too?

You must have an NP249 with a bad VC.
That's exactly what mine did as it slowly released the strain from within the drivetrain after parking it.
Swapped to an NP231 and no more VC related issues!

It's on a heavy Chevy though...a FM 10 series sounds much better to me. Personally, if I had a sound clip, my ZJ sounds more throaty to me with a glass pack. My 5.9L ram with duals and FM 10s is pretty loud and throaty.

It's all personal preferences though.

One more

In have yet to hear a muffler with a deeper growl than my XR-1 mufflers. My 5.9 Ram had straight pipes and these Borla mufflers make it sound like an electric car (exaggerating I know)

Chevy or not its a push rod v8 they're all going to sound similar.

I wouldn't pay a couple hundred for a muffler...it's not worth it when they just burn out eventually. I'd rather buy headers.
