I don't know about the rest of you, but I've always been super anal-retentive about the state of my car's interior, even when I was a ZJ driver at the tail end of high school. Only thing hanging from my mirror is an air freshener. And no trash allowed. If you bring it in, you take it back out. I don't see how anyone can let the inside of their car get to be a mess, and hanging **** from your mirror or shifter or anywhere has always struck me as dumb.

My insurance guy told me I should drop some coverage because my Jeep was only worth about $500. I told him the scrap metal was worth more than that, and that's after I parted out all that I've added. It's a Jeep thing. He wouldn't understand.

My credit union just told me I can get a loan worth $3200 out of my Jeep and that it is worth $3600. I really wonder if they noticed that it has a salvage title......

You're anxious to change out busted parts, but you DREAD doing the work, wondering how many rusted bolts will break off in the process....

Hopefully the engine has leaked on the motor mount bolts enough that they aren't totally rusted in place...
Wish me luck!

in virginia, it's illegal to have anything at all hanging from a rear view mirror when the vehicle is moving. I think it's a secondary offense, but for whatever reason it gives justification for a vehicle search if the officer is in a bad mood.

on topic though, you know you drive a ZJ when you hear a new sound of metal fatigue or rubbing and don't think anything of it

You know you drive a ZJ when you hear a NEW sound that you haven't heard before. After you hear it a few more times you have a good idea what broke so you pull over and inspect or repair it, then keep on driving.
